Welcome to term 4 everyone, especially to any parents new to the school’s environment.
Just a quick thank you to all who helped with last term’s Monster Garage and Car Boot Sale, which we had a lovely day for. We raised just over $3000 for the school and any leftovers we donated to four different charities (Red Cross Five Crossroads, Vinnies Chartwell, Salvation Army Victoria St, and Clothe our Kids Waikato) so it was a great community undertaking where there were lots of positives stemming from it.
Looking ahead to what is coming up this term which we will need help with are the Senior Athletics Day (31 Oct) where we will have a food stall/barbeque, then later on we will be selling Holland Road Gin again and the new idea of Meyer Cheese (keeping it local); and we round off the year with the School Disco on December 11th. Also, the Christmas Picnic is pencilled in for December 14th, which is the second to last day of the year.
I will be sending off any Yummy Stickers on Monday 15th so if you have any last ones to hand in please do so by this Friday. And on that note, if anyone has any New World Stickers they do not think they will be using can you hand these in also I will see if I can pool resources and see if I can’t get some free prizes for our Golf Day or such like.
The PTA’s next meeting is Tuesday 24th October in the Staffroom at 7.30 pm. Please come along to share your ideas, all are welcome.
