PTA News
Hello from the PTA and welcome to term 3 to all, especially any new school families. Our PTA is always on the lookout for new people to help with events and fundraisers, so please come along to the next meeting if you are able (Tuesday 01 August 7.30pm School Staffroom) to see what we are all about.
We have a few things lined up for Term 3. The first is a social event to which everyone is invited to but we are limited to 100 tickets so if you are keen, be quick to purchase a ticket via Kindo. It is a Musical Bingo Night to be held Saturday 5th, August at The Keg Bar & Eatery in Rototuna. It will be a fun night with a “Dress up as a Musical Icon” theme (not compulsory). There are some fantastic prizes and raffles to be won. Thank you to Shannon Belosovich for heading this event. If you can help in any way with sponsorship (prizes etc), we would love to hear from you. See the poster attached for details. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow. (Friday 21st July.)
Later this term we are doing a “Gumdrops Desserts” fundraiser. These are super popular and we have lots of people suggest this as a winner of an idea. So keep this in the back of your mind that you can support Puketaha School with this, I think order forms will be sent out in week 6.
Our third major event for this term will be another Monster Garage Sale towards the end of term (September 16th). This is a way for us to all have a cleanout and feel good about the Reduce/Reuse/Recycle mantra and the community and school both benefit. This year we are looking to have a Car Boot/Stall Holder option in conjunction with this.
Thank you to those families who have been collecting the Yummy Stickers as part of the School Sticker programme. We have to send these of by the end of this term so all sticker sheets (or partially completed ones) need to be in the office by Friday 15th September.
