Many thanks to our Puketaha Community who supported our Scrap Metal collection last weekend. It was an opportunity to have a clean up and support the school in a very green manner. A win/win for all concerned. The bin was quickly filled by about lunch time on Saturday and we managed to fill another truck with all the other donations that were left in the carpark. It was all cleared away by about 11am Monday and we received over $1,200 from Sims so that was awesome. I think this was very popular and, in the end quite easy to administer in this format, so we are looking to do it again
next year.

Cross Country
We will be running food stall at the school cross country on Tuesday May 31 st so will be looking for helpers to man the barbeque, donate some baking, and help sell baking and juicies. Same goes for the East Waikato Country School’s (EWCS) Cross Country day on Wednesday June 8 th. If you can help on either of these dates, can you please let me know. (Especially the EWCS date.)

Oxford Pies
We have the last date for orders as being June 3 rd which is still the case if you are emailing your order, but if you hand in your order to the office can you get it to Christine by Thursday 2nd , as the Friday 3rd is a Teacher Only Day.

Spring Fair
As you know we had to postpone the Spring Fair last year due to Covid restrictions, so the new date is set for September 24 th this year. I realise this is ages away, but we are planning to have a plant sale/stall and so am appealing early to those who have green fingers in our midst to propagate cuttings of house plants or grow some seedlings with this date in mind.
That’s about it from me. We haven’t been able to move forward with the firewood idea due to heavy work commitments of the main organiser, so have had to park this idea for now.
