PTA News
A big thank you to those players/sponsors/helpers who attended our second annual golf tournament at the 9-hole Horsham Downs Golf Club last Sunday. There was a really great vibe back in the Clubhouse once everyone had finished and I hope everyone enjoyed their day. It certainly wasn’t all about the scorecard for a lot of teams, but this was intermingled with some fabulous shot-play by those who actually can play, so we hope there was a little something in it for everyone on the day. I think most people walked away with a prize (some not in a straight line, haha) as our sponsors really were super generous.
Also thank you to those who have sent through their Nothing Naughty Protein Bar order forms. We handed these out when Covid was impacting a lot of families a couple of weeks ago, so if you never received an order form and would like to see one, click on the PTA link on the SchoolAppsNZ app. You had better be quick though as today is the last day for orders!!
Our current fundraising focus is on upgrading some of the school’s outdated technology resources, more specifically Chromebooks for Years 3-8. Our goal is to raise $20,000 if we can.
A reminder that if you have a trailer of scrap metal that you are keen to get rid of before our official collection day in May, you can take it to SIMs Pacific Metals at 38A Northway Street, Te Rapa, Hamilton and say it is for Puketaha School as we have opened an account there for this purpose.
Next week there won’t be Fun Friday (as it is Good Friday) so on Thursday we will be offering Hell Pizzas as the end of term treat where we raise $1 per pizza from those sales.
Kind regards,
Merynn Connors
