Class and Teacher Placements 2022
It is that time of year where we would like to share with you the makeup of our classes for 2022 as well as the placement of our teaching team.
Due to the high numbers in our 2022 Year 7 and Year 8 cohorts there will be a slight shift in model in Roopuu Puaawai and Roopuu Maahuri next year. This change will likely continue for the next few years also.
- Puaawai will now be a Year 6 - 8 Learning Environment. It will still have 4 teachers, but will run a little more like Maahuri rather than the Year 5/6 and Year 7/8 classes we have now. We have already started the work of planning for this shift and Nyree and the teaching team are continuing to develop their thinking and programme design for these children. The numbers have forced us to think differently, which in turn has provided us with an exciting opportunity for both the teaching team and the children.
- Maahuri will be a Year 3-5 environment. Not a lot different from this year, accept all Year 5's will be in Maahuri.
- Kaakano 1 and Kaakano 2 will remain the same.

Finally we are delighted for Jason and Nyree to act up in their respective Leadership Positions. We should all take enormous comfort knowing that the school will be lead by some remarkable people who offer an excellent, complementary set of skills.
