Dear Parents, Caregivers and Children.
How wonderful it is to be back. Yesterday and today we had 109 and 121 children return to school. We look forward to that number increasing again on Monday.
The last few weeks have been an experience and a unique one for us all. From the conversations I have been having with our families showcases to me that not one family has experienced the 'lock down' in the same way, and as a result has meant a range of feelings and mixed emotions for all.
For us as a learning community it is time for us now to start turning our minds, thoughts and feelings to tomorrow, our future. I encourage us all to visualise what’s possible and deciding to do something about it. Wondering (to ourselves and then to the world) “how can I make this better?”
For us we will be doing this in many ways and not because it’s our job or because we hope for some self gratification, but simply because we can.
What we all can do as a learning community is start where we are and strive to make things better. What ever that looks like for you.
Warm Regards
Geoff
We understand that for many families you may still have some questions round what it looks like coming back at Alert Level 2. Below I have attahched a PDF Infographic to help support your understanding. Please share with your children.
Part of the changes to our systems at Alert Level 2 is all parents and caregivers will need to sign in before entering the school. This can now be done via our school app. Attached is a PDF with how you can do this.
Kukri our Sport Uniform Supplier (and Puketaha School Family) have introduced a few warm winter options, thier down jacket and gilet are filled with 50% down and 50% feather, making them super warm.
Both the jacket and gilet are lightweight, they are not bulky and both have a hood along with zip side pockets.
Great garments to keep warm in this winter.
Kukri have offered them at a SPECIAL PRICE (Jacket $100 and Gilet $90) for Puketaha Families only. These can be purchased via your KINDO Account.
Let's support them.
